Lastovo Digital Viewpoint
From Lastovo's viewpoints, the view stretches to neighbouring islands, bays and villages. The digital viewpoint tells visitors, on their own phone, exactly what they are looking at.
On its own, the view from a viewpoint does not reveal what visitors are seeing. Islands, bays and villages in the distance remain nameless, and the viewpoint is just a spot for a photo.
The viewpoints have boards with a QR code. Visitors scan the code, choose a language and point their phone at the landscape: a gigapixel panorama follows the direction of their gaze, and marked places open by themselves.
This is how it looks on the visitor’s phone.

How visitors use it.
- 01
Scan the QR code on the board
The viewpoint opens in the browser, in Croatian, English or German.
- 02
Point your phone
The view on the screen follows the direction of the phone, all the way round.
- 03
Zoom in and read
The binoculars bring details closer, and each place's card offers more information and navigation.
